
Alongside that we had Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir, which uses the 3DS as an augmented reality Camera Obscura, allowing you to view ghosts as if they’re in the room with you. This had some bizarre design decisions, involving ‘sexing up’ the two mid-teenage girl protagonists, making for a rather strange experience. Then we had a Wii remake of the second Project Zero game, Crimson Butterfly. We had Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (Wii), which never officially got a release outside of Japan. The last few releases have been a strangely mixed bag.

After flitting about from console to console for a while, the Project Zero series (Fatal Frame in the US) seems to have found a permanent home with Nintendo.
